I really like this picture because of the approach it seems to adhere to. Whereas most artists approach sorrow and emotion through something like an aesthetic tear rolling down a perfect cheek or something like that, you've capture the more raw sense of the emotion and made it much more impactful by doing so. I am sure she is quite lovely, but I found the pose of the model to be quite ugly in the shot, but that is where your picture's beauty emanates from, as the startling truth is that sorrow and pain overcomes us and when we break down like this, we look anything but pretty.

Douleur... it is an ugly business.
